Last weekend we had our "Rock 2" field trip out at Icicle Creek in Leavenworth. What a blast! I came back a little battered and bruised but had so much fun! We did a lot of crack climbing :) but had to do everything in out mountaineering shoes :( That was such a pain. I put on my rock shoes after we were done with day one, climbed the same routes as we were earlier and was able to just sail up the walls. Over the weekend we hit up Clamshell, Bruce's Boulder, Alphabet, and Rotowall.
There was one scary moment, I almost fell rappelling on Alphabet. Dropped and f-bom too, oops! (Unusual for me). Thank goodness for awesome gear and not letting go with my break hand. It also helped that Jenny, who was watching from on top, was super calm in helping me get right-sided. Never thought that would happen to me! Definitely a good learning experience though.
